Health poverty is not the absence of a disease or presence of disability, it’s a state of mind where you can’t reach your health requirements.
The same applies to Economic poverty, it’s not the absence of money in your pocket rather a state of mind in which you cannot take appropriate actions to provide enough for yourself.
Why relate these two factors here?
The way Poor health develops is almost the same way Economic Poverty emerges and a lot of researches have shown that it takes the same methods to have a poor health as it is to have a poor life. In fact, where poor health is, life poverty is around the corner.
What are the similarities?
1. Afraid of challenges
A person with Poor health is like that because of a tendency to avoid pain and the sacrifices behind a good health. Do you ever find yourself avoiding pain? Starting gym for a week and quitting? Deciding to fast for 10 days and quitting in just 3 days? You don’t want your body to suffer, walking to you is a big issue and its outdated practice.
But surprisingly enough when you see people who do that and are in good shape, you admire them and want to be like them.
If all of this fits you, know one thing, you have a Poor health mind-set. And most likely you have a weak body, obese, less energy, struggling to sleep at night, depressed, you like to watch more TV, scrolling your TikTok the whole day, and among other simple matters. You hate big challenges and only a small pain takes you off balance.
Compare it to life poverty, it’s almost the same. Afraid to take big risks in life, a small calamity takes you to depression, afraid to start that a business you dream because you’re afraid to lose money. Staying at the same low paying job because of insecurity thinking you will die of hunger. Staying in the same job for years with no progress since you want to be seen working?
Avoiding to challenge your mind with books, addicted to social media and likes to sleep more than wake up to meditate life. If all of that fits you, most likely you’re broke and struggling to put food on the table.
Understand: Those two paragraphs above have a very big relationship and both lead to one thing – poverty. The costs it takes to have a poor health is the same cost it takes to have a struggling life .
If you cannot live a healthy life, most likely you can’t be responsible enough to produce money for yourself and the family.
“Closed brain mentality”
Instead of challenging our body to give us answers through meditation, exercises, reading great books, fasting and thinking for the answers, eating healthy foods; we choose to relax, smoke, drink alcohol and sleep 8 hours, have sex everyday etc..
This creates a body with closed brain doors and if your brain becomes dull, how will you think of big ways to save yourself from poverty?
A lazy body will only think about three things: Sex, food, and sleep. And forget about projects, exercises, and life knowledge because they are so costly. You want to create good economy and avoid poverty?
Start by being healthy first. Think healthy, eat healthy, sleep healthy (6 hrs.), talk healthy, then transform this mind set to poverty eradication by challenging yourself, putting yourself in pain, going for the difficult task, embracing the uncertainty, and the result will change to something called SUCCESS.
2. Similar excuses
Ever heard excuses from people with poor health? “I don’t have money to buy cabbage”, “When I run my chest and legs pain a lot”, “I don’t want trouble I already have enough”, “I can’t wake up early because I sleep at work”, “it’s too cold in the morning”, “The government doesn’t promote jogging clubs”, “My friends travelled so I stopped working out” and many others.
How about people with life poverty mind-set? “I can’t spend all of those 5 years studying”, “the government doesn’t hire so I don’t have a job”, “the politicians are consuming our money that’s why I am poor”, “I can’t lose my money in investing, I better buy food and eat”, “if the money you have can’t solve your problems, spend it!”, “my job is busy I can’t get time to exercise” etc.
Do you perhaps find similarities in the above paragraphs? Lots of excuses lead to poverty of either way because they all involve a lack of responsibility for oneself.
Understand:it takes a good health to think big and make cash. Taking examples of healthy practices like exercises, fasting and reading. These things challenge the body to work at a high level capacity and while this is happening, your mind begins to get used to tough tasks.
Imagine lifting a 50kg weight and getting used to it. This gives your body a sense of risk taking, withstanding pain and hence your brain will perceive this as being able to take big actions, pushing you to do the same in life. By taking bigger risks, you can be able to grow your economy perfectly fine.
It takes a healthy body to think healthy and have a healthy pocket.
Lastly…
It’s not too late to start. Just start challenging your health first, build those muscles, expand that lung capacity by jogging, create a healthy brain by fasting, and minimize your sexual appetite, drinking and smoking habits. After a certain time you will begin to see changes in your economy.
Remember, poor health and poor life have more to do with your mind than your physical capabilities. Read my article on how to challenge your body and you will know where to start.
